Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

AisleIQ is a Chrome browser extension developed and operated by Mountaineer Tech LLC ("we," "our," or "us"), a West Virginia limited liability company. Our business email is eric@mountaineertech.io.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account information: Your email address and password (hashed) when you create an account.
• Subscription status: Whether you are on the Free or Pro plan, managed via Stripe.
• Product page data: When you explicitly open the AisleIQ popup on a Walmart.com product page, the extension reads publicly visible information from that page (price, title, ratings, review count). This data is read locally in your browser and is only used to display results to you. It is not transmitted to our servers or stored without your action.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your browsing history.
• We do not collect data from pages you visit where you have not opened the AisleIQ popup.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.
• We do not use cookies for tracking.

4. How We Use Your Data

• To create and manage your account.
• To process payments and manage your subscription through Stripe.
• To display product research data to you within the extension.
• To respond to support requests.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
• Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
• Vercel — backend hosting (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)

We do not control these services and encourage you to review their policies.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your account data is stored securely in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security enabled. Passwords are never stored in plain text. We use HTTPS for all data transmission. While we take reasonable precautions, no system is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing eric@mountaineertech.io. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

AisleIQ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of AisleIQ after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
